Got to make the 7:40 bridge
Cap'n Glen steers Sevilla out of Boca, down the ICW on a chilly morning. The ICW continued to be lined with ever more fabulous homes. But there were some "affordable" ones as well. The bridges went well for us today; no long waits; we timed them well or the bridgetenders waited on us.We took on 18 gallons of very "cheap" fuel at Fort Lauderdale. At Port Everglades,we headed off shore for 17 miles.

This is the third busiest cruise ship port in the world.

Affordable?
The highlight of the day was the remarkably beautiful skyline of Fort Lauderdale and Miami--so many tall buildings and imaginative architecture--from our offshore vantage point.

Pekabu lying at anchor
We came back in at Government Cut and headed for Biscayne Bay passing under the Powell/Rickenbacker Causeway Bridge at mile 1019. There we found an anchorage for the night and watched the twinkling lights of the gorgeous buildings until nightime fell. We motored 43 miles today.
Glen put the kellets on the anchor once again since it was a bit windy in Biscayne Bay. We enjoyed a fascinating ride today. Tomorrow we head for Key Largo. Maybe we'll see the movie again.
Best to all,
Maureen and Glen
